TweeSP generates an Amazon Christmas gift list for any Twitter user

Don't know what to get your favorite Twitter-using friend for Christmas this year? TweeSP may be able to help. It's a site that reads any user's recent tweets and uses them to make some guesses at a gift list of a dozen or so items, using data from Amazon.com. The TweeSP site doesn't reveal the algorithm behind the lists, just chalks it up to magic and meditation.

How accurate is TweeSp? Well, it took my recents tweets and came up with the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD (yes!), a sack of six baseballs (weird, but cool) and a book of sex toy tricks (huh?!). In other words, the results were mixed. Over half the items were hits, though, and anyone who knows you well enough to buy presents for you will probably be able to figure out which recommendations are way off.

By the way, clicking through to Amazon from TweeSP will activate TweeSP's affiliate code, and they'll donate any affiliate money they make to Toys for Tots. So, even if you're just going about your regular business on Amazon, it doesn't cost you anything to hit TweeSP first and let them give the commission to a kids' charity.
