Blog Post: Do You Know How to Save a Location or Business to Bing Favorites On Your BlackBerry Smartphone?

If you’ve ever wished you could just save those favorite locations and businesses to Bing on your phone – you can. Just follow the steps below.

 Saving a Location

1. On the Bing home screen, search for any address. Try “One Microsoft Way, Redmond WA” for instance.
2. On the location instant answer pop-up, click the favorites (heart) button. The button background will change to orange indicating that this location has been added to your favorites.

 

You also can save a favorite location from maps by following these steps:

1. On the map screen, search for any address. Try “One Microsoft Way, Redmond WA”.
2. Click the callout window displayed above the pushpin
3. From the drop-down menu at the top right corner, select Save to favorites

You can add a pushpin at any location on the map and save it to favorites.

1. On the map screen, click on the map where you want to drop a pushpin
2. From the drop-down menu at the top right corner, select Add pushpin
3. Enter a name and click save as favorite

 

Saving a Business

You can save a specific business to your favorites, in addition to capturing your location favorites. You can either perform a local search on the Bing home screen, or select Local on the 2x3 grid then execute a search from within the local experience.

To save to your favorites, follow these steps:

1. On the Bing home screen, search for any local business. In this instance try “Wild Ginger in Bellevue, WA”.
2. Click on the local result
3. On business screen, click the favorites (heart) button to save to your favorites. The button background will change to orange indicating that this business has been added to your favorites.

 

If you want to save a favorite business from maps, follow these steps:

1. On the map screen, search for any local business. Again try “Wild Ginger in Bellevue, WA”.
2. Click the callout window displayed above the pushpin
3. On business screen, click the favorites (heart) button

Accessing Your Saved Favorites

Once you have some locations or businesses added to your favorite list, you can see them on the favorites’ screen. To access:

1. On the Bing home screen, click favorites on the 2x3 item grid
2. Here you can take an action on the list items
   1. Location: click to map the location
   2. Business: click to view the business details
